Temporary Road Closure of Amlets Lane, Cranleigh

The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along that length of (D191) Amlets Lane, Cranleigh, the southern arm of the junction with Barhatch Road, a distance of 33 metres.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable CALA Homes South Home Counties Ltd to carry out traffic calming works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 26 days between the hours of 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs (Monday-Friday) and 08.00hrs and 13.00hrs (Saturdays) within the three month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order that commences on 6th March 2017. However this length of road will remain closed at all times. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians at all times. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles via the signed diversion route. There are no properties within this closure so no access to any residential property will be affected. Access will be maintained for pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists at all times.

Vehicular traffic will be diverted via the northern arm of the junction between Amlets Lane and Barhatch Road.

Temporary Road Closure of Guildford Road, Cranleigh

The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of (B2128) Guildford Road, Cranleigh, between its junction with Strathavon Close and its junction with the roundabout at Runcommon Road, a distance of 924 metres and/or any part and/or parts therein.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out major maintenance resurfacing works. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible between the hours of 09.00hrs and 16.30hrs over ten days within the eighteen-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order that commences on 6th March 2017. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency vehicles at all times. Access will not be maintained for residents and businesses however in the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of The Act the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner.

Vehicular traffic will be diverted via Runcommon Road, Horsham Road, Elmbridge Road and Guildford Road.
