Snoxhall Fields Play Park
In 2008/9 the Play Park at Snoxhall Fields, Cranleigh was significantly extended and new equipment installed. The new layout includes a specific toddler area with a sand pit, toddler swings and other activities and a teen zone with a youth shelter and balancing equipment.
In 2012 the area was extended further and there are now two nest swings in the Park, a large climbing frame and climbing structure, a roundabout and see saw as well as a net mountain and swings. The Park is landscaped and there are plenty of places to sit, shelter and to picnic.
The Play Park is surrounded by the beautiful Snoxhall Fields, close to the Down's Link and to Cranleigh High Street. Close by is Cranleigh Leisure Centre, Cranleigh skate park and an area of fitness equipment for all ages.
There is a small car park for users of the facilities which is accessed from Knowle Lane. The nearest toilets are situated on Village Way, and the nearest shops are on the High Street in Cranleigh.
The Parish Council is grateful to all of the people who have contributed to the Play Park project since it started in 2008. In particular, Waverley Borough Council, Surrey LEADER fund, the Betty Riseley Trust, Surrey County Council Youth Opportunities, Surrey and Sussex Probation team, the Cranleigh and District Lions, the Lion Tamers, Cranleigh and District Rotary Club, Cranleigh Baptist Toddler group, Stennett Plant Hire, Mary Foryzewski, a very generous benefactor who wishes to remain anonymous and the Action for Cranleigh Play Park Group.
