Mary has lived in Waverley for 17 years and moved to Cranleigh in 2006. She has worked as a councillor for eight years, four years as a town councillor for Haslemere and four years as a Waverley Borough councillor. Married to Stefan for 23 years and has two grown up sons. Mary enjoyed a career in the NHS for more than sixteen years, working at a number of hospitals including Cranleigh Hospital and Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford. As well as being a keen gardener, Mary's main interests are in serving the local community, in particular supporting the youth; she was treasurer and managed a youth boys football teams for 8 years as well as setting up and managing a girls' football team. Mary was chairman of Sport Haslemere and a school Governor at Graywood school. She is enthusiastic about preserving the local environment, animal welfare and trains and works, with dogs of any size, breed age, specialising in dogs with behavioural problems. Mary feels privileged to live in the beautiful village of Cranleigh and plans to continue work to support the local community.
